It's the most wonderful time of the year

I can't believe we are less than 2 weeks away from Christmas, where has the time gone? We have had a fun couple weeks getting ready for Christmas and celebrating with friends. We had a wine tasting party this weekend and it was a great time and we were very thankful that Ella slept right through the entire party and all night.

I am still getting adjusted going back to work and leaving Ella. I really miss her during the day but she had fun playing with DeeDee the first week and her friends Kayla, Ali, Addie and Wesley last week. We are excited for Mike's Mom to come this week to watch her.

We also went to church for the first time with Ella this morning and of course she had to wear one of her many Christmas outfits. Ella went to the nursery and had a good time playing with all the other babies.

Ella spending time with DeeDee and Papa, she was very spoiled.

Ella loves sitting up in her Bumbo seat and sucking on her fingers.

Mike's soccer team won the whole championship this year. The team has come in 2nd place for the past couple season but this time, they were able to win it all and Mike scored 2 goals in the finals.
Here is a video of Ella eating her first food, she isn't quite sure about it yet. (sorry my voice sounds so annoying)

Thanksgiving

Happy Belated Thanksgiving! Ella had a big time in Pennsylvania being spoiled by Grandma and Grandpa and also got to meet Aunt Kelly and Ben. She also took her first flight and she did great! She fell asleep on both flights and a passenger even complimented her on our return flight. While we waited for our luggage, she entertained all of the other passengers with her "talking." We were relieved that she did so great on the flights since no one likes a screaming baby!

We had a yummy Thanksgiving meal and tons of food! We also got to hang out with Russ and Alison and see their new house. Now it's back to reality and back to work for me tomorrow but we are thankful DeeDee is coming up tomorrow to watch Ella the first week. Also, Dakota has been in Atlanta for the week so we are excited to have her return also, we missed our crazy pup!

Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving and we have lots of pictures to share so enjoy!

So sleepy after all that turkey! A little chilly walk in Danville.

All bundled up for a walk and cheering on the Hokies big victory over UVA. That's 10 out of the last 11 years, I thought this was supposed to be a rivalry. (That's a special shout out for Amy, Erin and Annie)
Ella is "talking" all the time now and it makes us laugh. Here is a video of her telling us a story!

On the Road Again

What a busy and fun November we have had and it's not over yet. This month we traveled down to Atlanta to see Ella's Dee Dee, Papa and Uncle Court. Dee Dee just had foot surgery but she is doing great and our shopping travels were not slowed down by the foot. Mike and I also played in a fun social tennis tournament at their club that Mom ran. I haven't played in almost 2 years so I was a little rusty but it was fun and Ella came to watch but slept through the entire thing. Apparently she thinks watching tennis is as exciting as I do!

We also went to Lake Toxaway outside of Asheville, NC for the weekend with our neighbors and had a blast. There were 9 kids all under the age of 4 so it was a little crazy but tons of fun (especially once all the kids went to sleep!) The weather was great and the house was beautiful.

We are off tomorrow to Pennsylvania to see Ella's Grandma and Grandpa for Thanksgiving. This will be Ella's first plane ride so we are hoping that it goes well and there aren't too many mean stares from the other passengers. We are hoping her cuteness will win them over. Then, once we return, it is back to work for me on Monday. I can't believe how fast the time has gone! I am trying to soak up every last moment with her this week.

We have so much to be grateful for this Thanksgiving and wish all of you a very happy Thanksgiving and safe travels.

Ella with her Dee Dee in the sweater her Great Grammy knitted for her. It is still a little big but it's so pretty, we had to get a picture.
Ella got her first set of golf clubs from her Papa but from her expression, I don't know how happy she is. Now she has golf shoes and clubs, she is all set. Maybe her Dad will teach her since he shot a 79 on Saturday!
Pictures from Lake Toxaway and the gorgeous house.
Emma likes her Guinness and Kayla and Ali cuddling with their Dad. Too cute!
View from the backyard of the lake house. We got to see Annie and Charlie who came to Charlotte to visit as well. They were born just 2 1/2 weeks apart and we sure miss them down here.
Finally, just some cute pictures from a walk last week in her cute polka dots and ruffles.
