Ella's First Week

Ella is settling in nicely and enjoying being at home. We went to the doctor this morning and she is doing great and gaining lots of weight (almost back up to her birth weight). Of course she waited until she was naked and being weighed to pee, she has great timing! We aren't sleeping too much but Ella seems to be slowly figuring out her days and nights a little better each day. Ella had a great visit with her Dee Dee and has enjoyed all of her visitors stopping by. Dakota and Ella are both excited for Uncle Court to come visit tomorrow. Hope you enjoy the pictures below!

Ella loves being swaddled and Dakota is slowly accepting that Ella is here to stay.

Home from the Hospital

On Sunday we were so excited to bring Ella to her new home.

After one final picture in the hospital, we buckled up Ella in her new carseat and we were off.

Dakota was very excited to finally meet this person we have been calling peanut for the last 9 months, she has been great so far. Ella seems to be settling in very comfortably in her new digs.

Later that night, Ella "enjoyed" her first bath.

A Movie Star?

Day 2

Ella is doing wonderful. She is getting cuter by the minute. We feel so blessed to have such an amazing heathly little girl. She is very excited to meet all of our family and friends.

Ella has arrived!

On August 13th at 5:41pm, we welcomed Ella James Hennessy into the world. She arrived weighing 7lbs, 0oz and measured in at 20 1/4 inches long. She has big beautiful blue eyes like her Dad and perfect long legs like her Mom.

Getting ready for Ella's big debut. She was a little stubborn, but she is finally here.

The happy family, and Ella with her Dee Dee.

False Alarm

I am sure most of you have probably heard the story by now but in case you haven't, we had an eventful day last Monday but not the kind we thought we would have. Mike and I went into the hospital bright and early that morning ready to meet the new little one and 30 minutes before the c-section, the doctor came back one last time to check and low and behold, the baby flipped and is no longer breech. So, after much shock to Mike and I, we packed up and headed home and will now wait the old fashioned way for the baby to come. We will let you once the baby comes for real and we hope it will be soon since my actual due date is tomorrow, August 10th. So, the waiting game begins...

Here is a picture of us getting ready to leave for the hospital thinking we were having a baby but little peanut had other plans!
