Here comes the Sun

What a fun and beautiful weekend we had in Charlotte. Amy flew in from Dallas and met Ella for the first time and all the Booths (Steve, Lynn and Caroline) came down from Richmond to hang out and visit. The little girls had lots of fun playing together and the older girls had lots of fun getting pedicures, going out to eat and catching up. The weather was so nice so we got to spend lots of time outside enjoying the sunshine after this long, cold winter.

Ella and Caroline "hugging" at lunch. Caroline is 3 months older than Ella but you would never know it since they are about the same size! Amy, Lynn and I have been friends since elementary school!

By coincidence, Ella and Caroline were wearing the same pjs and it was too cute. They had fun "talking" to each other. I think Ella was asking Caroline advice on how to grow some hair! Caroline also liked to kiss Ella all over but Ella wasn't too sure about that!

Ella's best friend at home is her doggie Dakota. Ella loves to watch Dakota play and they often sit in the chair together. Dakota lets Ella torture her by pulling her ears and tail and is so gentle with her. Lots of times at night, Dakota will leave our room and go sleep right next to Ella's crib, it is so sweet! Dakota had a hard time adjusting to Ella arriving but I know they will grow up to be great friends!
Today was 70 degrees in Charlotte, yay! So, Ella and I went to the park with some of our neighbors and Ella sat in the swing for the first time. She liked it initially but wasn't so sure after awhile. We were glad to get outside and enjoy this wonderful sunshine.
For those of you that don't know yet, I have decided to leave my position and stay at home with Ella. Even though she was in great hands, going back to work and leaving her was so difficult so I am thrilled to be able to stay at home with her full time.

  1. I love the pic of Ella and Dakota in the chair together and Ella has a hold of her tail. They are so cute together, I swear. Two very pretty girls. You are one lucky mom. Congrats on deciding to stay at home with both of them. You Pops told me when I saw him here in Dallas a few weeks ago and I thought that was a great decision for you!

    Love,
    Ry
